WQB Mold Removal's crew treats the mold and diagnoses what's actually feeding it — often a ventilation design that made sense decades ago but doesn't anymore.

WQB Mold Removal built specific expertise in Burgess's older pier-and-beam and pre-1980s crawl space construction, which behaves differently than modern slab foundations.
We'll trace the actual source rather than treat the first thing we see.
Four reasons Burgess property owners trust us with this specific job.
Our Burgess techs understand the specific moisture patterns common in older pier-and-beam and pre-1980s construction. We won't apply a modern slab-home fix to a Burgess, VA property that needs a different approach. We photograph crawl space conditions before and after for your Burgess records.
Tight, low-clearance conditions call for specific training and compact gear, which our Burgess techs carry standard. No job gets turned away just because the clearance is tight. Our equipment is rated for the tight clearance older construction demands.
We treat the ground moisture and drainage issue alongside the visible mold, not instead of it. Skipping this step is why so many prior treatments don't hold. We photograph crawl space conditions before and after for your Burgess records.
Catching humidity creep early is far cheaper than a repeat mold job. We'll recommend monitoring only where your specific situation warrants it. Our equipment is rated for the tight clearance older construction demands.
Every Burgess job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
We evaluate how your specific Burgess foundation type — pier-and-beam, stone, or block — is contributing to crawl space moisture.
We size and seal barriers to fit irregular older foundation footprints correctly.
We'll flag any grading issue that's been quietly feeding the moisture problem for years.
Older floor joists and subfloor material get checked for both mold and underlying wood deterioration.
We'll assess whether converting to a sealed, conditioned design makes sense for your specific property.
Older Burgess, VA homes especially benefit from an annual check given their moisture history.
We keep this simple to explain, even though the space itself rarely is.
A quick call helps our Burgess dispatcher send the right equipment on the first visit. Texting a photo ahead of time can speed up prep.
Our nearest available crew heads straight to your Burgess address with the gear this job actually needs. You'll get a call or text when the crew is on the way.
We inspect, test where needed, and give you a flat-rate quote before any work begins. Nothing gets added later that wasn't discussed and approved upfront.
You get documentation proving the work was completed to standard. Any follow-up questions get answered on the spot, not routed to voicemail.

The questions that come up most with pier-and-beam and older construction.
We won't apply a generic modern fix without first understanding how your specific Burgess foundation was built.
It depends on your climate, foundation type, and moisture source — vented isn't automatically wrong, but it's often outdated.
Our techs carry compact, low-profile gear built for tight conditions, sometimes under 18 inches of clearance.
Yes — rot and structural deterioration need a different conversation and sometimes a different contractor entirely.
A standard treatment typically takes one day; older or larger crawl spaces with drainage work can take two to three.
